With gymnastics in their blood, Maple Ridge’s Allison and Jordyn Beyer are moving up the ranks of artistic and trampoline gymnastics.

This past weekend, 11-year old Allison swept the Level 5 tyro competition at the  Omega Invitational in Coquitlam. Her four gold medals at the meet make her one to watch as the competition season begins.

Younger sister Jordyn, age nine, competed for the first time in Level 1 trampoline gymnastics at the Shasta Invitational in trampoline. Qualifying for finals in both double mini trampoline and trampoline, she finished tenth and eighth respectively.

Both gymnasts train at Club Aviva Gymnastics in Coquitlam under the careful eye of their coach and mother, Nancy Beyer, who was an Olympic coach in 2000.
