Nine Maple Ridge secondary track and field team members competed at the Richmond Olympic Oval on Saturday, and the senior girls team of Natalie Rycroft, Monique Lisek, Abisayo Ajibike, Mikayla Tinkham and Rosie Elphick-Miner won a team bronze and a $500 bursary.
Lisek, who won the 50m dash against the province’s best runners, walked away with the Outstanding Female Athlete Award.
