Andrew Gresham of Pitt Meadows is one of the leading scorers on his NCAA team in his first season of college field lacrosse in the U.S.
The freshman Gresham has 11 goals and 16 points in 11 games for the Manhattan Jaspers, with just four games left in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference season.
His team has not fared as well, and on Thursday got its first win of the 2015 season, beating NJIT 7-5 and improving their record to 1-10.
Gresham, who plays attack, buried the opening shot of the game 10 seconds in, and finished the game with four points.
Gresham was the leading scorer and captain of his Team B.C. under-16 team in 2012 and won a gold medal at the national tournament, and was named an all-star.
He plays with the Langley Thunder in junior A lacrosse, and played for Wales at the 2014 FIL World Field Lacrosse Championships.
He is a political science major at Manhattan.
