Gymnastics B.C. honoured the province’s top athletes, coaches and volunteers at its annual awards banquet Saturday in Burnaby, and two local people were among 75 who received plaques, scholarships and recognition for their hard work.

Karen Capel of Pitt Meadows was given a Gymnastics Canada service gold pin for her service to the sport.

Cameron Quinlan of Maple Ridge, a member of the Shasta Trampoline club of New Westminster, was given a Gymnastics B.C. scholarship, valued at $500.

These awards are given to outstanding student-athletes who are members of Gymnastics B.C.
