Koehler stays hot in Haney Masters Curling

Peter Koehler’s rink continued their hot streak as they forged into a first-place tie in Haney Masters’ Curling League action Wednesday.

Peter Koehler’s rink continued their hot streak as they forged into a first-place tie in Haney Masters’ Curling League action Wednesday.

Koehler along with lead Don Svelander, second Chris English and third William Menkveld ran their record to 6-1 defeating Barry Elson’s rink of Hilly Boonstra, Chuck Spergeon and Jerry Batryn.  The victory gave them a share of top spot with the Bill McDowell rink which continued their fine play by defeating Ed Desjardins to remain undefeated at 6-0.

McDowell along with Clifford Wells (third), Svend Neilsen (second) and Roland Hill (lead) curled to another victory over the Desjardin rink of Walter Vesa, George Lagerstrom and Les Hall.
