Three Maple Ridge Teams are battling at the BC High School Boys Basketball Championships, which got underway at the Langley Events Centre on Wednesday morning.

In the new quadruple A tournament, the Pitt Meadows Marauders lost a scrappy opening game against the Vancouver College Fighting Irish 74-68.

The Samuel Robertson Technical Titans played in their first ever appearance in the provincial tournament at the senior boys level. They lost to Saint Thomas More of Burnaby 64-41, in the triple A tournament.

The triple A Maple Ridge Ramblers were scheduled to play their tournament opener at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night, against Mark Isfeld of Comox Valley.

Pitt will play on Thursday morning at 10 a.m., while the next Titans game will be on Thursday at 1 p.m.
