Racers aim for westerns

The B.C. short track championships take place in Vanderhoof in early March.

The Ridge Meadow Racers finished the regular speed skating season Feb. 7 at the Richmond Oval.

They had strong showings are previous meets held by Port Coquitlam and Sardis.

The B.C. short track championships take place in Vanderhoof in early March. The Canada West Championship are March 21-22.

Tahlon Flamma, Janie Green, Tim Song and Marshall Shupe (T2T-13) are among the hopefuls, along with Annabelle Green (T2T-11), Rohann Chassay, Sammy Green and Catalina Shupe (LT2).

All T2T skaters sitting atop the podium will qualify for westerns.
