The Maple Ridge Ramblers varsity boys basketball squad took silver in the Enver Creek tournament last weekend.
In their first game, the Ramblers beat the Kitsilano B team 67-22.
Next was a tough game against host Enver. Down 43-41 at the end of three quarters, Ridge outscored Enver 19-6 in the final stanza, to win 60-49. Leading Ridge with 18 points and 12 rebounds was Ethan Coumont, and Brandon Williams had 20 points and 10 boards.
The final saw Ridge leading MEI 41-36 in the early fourth, but they lost 57-43.
Ridge was led by all-stars Coumont (15 points) and Williams (10), and strong defensive efforts from Owen Stewart and Josh Solk and Tristan Coumont.
