Ramblers win Valley x-country

The Maple Ridge Ramblers Grade 8 boys cross-country team won the Fraser Valley championship on Wednesday in Abbotsford.

The Maple Ridge Ramblers Grade 8 boys cross-country team won the Fraser Valley championship on Wednesday in Abbotsford.

Runners Jorrin Lenton, Nick Kerschbaum, Cole Deakin and Nolan Varga had great performances.

The Grade 8 Girls team of Bronte Elphick-Miner, Emily Morley, Hayley Vaughn, Evan Cowley and Hannah Nelson also captured third.

Great individual performances included Jamie Hennessey finishing second and Mikayla Tinkham placing fourth in the Junior race.

The provincial cross-country championships will be run Nov. 2 in Langley.
