The Ridge Meadows Flames will be hosting their spring identification camp on May 24-26 at Planet Ice Maple Ridge.

The reigning Pacific Junior Hockey League champions are offering an opportunity for hockey players in the birth years 2004-2009 a chance to make a good impression. General Manager Derek Bedard said he’s looking for players with speed, skill and a high compete level. The organization only wants players with good character to be part of a positive team culture, he added.

While the Flames will have a strong returning core, Bedard said the camp is a real opportunity for athletes.

“Up and down our lineup are players who came through this process,” said the GM.

Registration cost is $315, and players will take part in scrimmage games through the weekend. Players will be notified of ice times by email no later than May 18.

Players can sign up right until the start of the camp, however, due to space limitations, acceptance of registration is at the discretion of the hockey operations staff.
