The Ridge Meadows Racers smashed many of their personal best times at the Matsqui Blades interclub speedskating in Abbotsford earlier this month.
Justin Cross led the Racers in Division 4 with a couple of wins, while B.C. Winter Games teammate Annie Russell posted a personal best in her 500-metre and 3,000-metre to take a first and second.
In other Division 4 action, Robert McLennan took home a second- and third-place finish and a personal best in his 3,000-metre while teammate Brianna Utas skated hard to earn a first in the 3,000-metre and took home a couple of second-place finishes.
In Junior action, William McLennan took a first and three second-place finishes in a strong showing while teammates Ian Cross skated to a second and third and Steven Timotius posted two seconds.
Jack Lindsay knocked a second off his time in the 200-metre and took home two firsts and a second in Division 1 L2T action. Brother Cole Lindsay took a whopping eight seconds off his 200-metre time to post a personal best.
In Division 2 action, Shivani Bahadur led the way with a couple of first-place finishes and two seconds. Teammate Annabelle Green shone, taking a second off her personal best in the 200-metre and taking two first-place finishes. Brother Samuel Green also had a great day and notched a couple of firsts, a second and a personal best in the 200-metre.
The Ridge Racers end the season with several big competitions in the coming weeks, including the B.C. Winter Games where Justin Cross and Annie Russell will represent Zone 3. The B.C. Short Track Championships in Kamloops take place in early March.
