Ridge Meadows midgets home on Saturday

The Ridge Meadows Royals are sitting second in the bantam standings with a 17-3-1 record, and have been on a great run.

They are coming off a Monday night win over the Vancouver Expos by a score of 14-8.

On Sunday they blasted the North Shore Padres by scores of 13-1 and 13-2 at Hammond Stadium.

They have been regularly pounding opposing pitching, putting up a season-high 21 runs against the Tri-City Indians on May 24.

Midgets

In the College prep league, the Ridge Meadows midget Royals sit in third place with a record of 13-8.

The Royals will be home to the West Kelowna Diamondbacks for a double header on Saturday, with games at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Hammond Stadium.

There could be a lot of action – the Diamondbacks have gone 3-18 so far this season, and have been allowing about nine runs per game on average

On Sunday, the Royals will be on the road to face the Tri-City Indians.

The Royals are coming off a pair of losses to the Richmond Chuckers, who beat them 8-1 and 4-1 on June 4.
