The Ridge Meadows Burrards earned gold, silver and bronze medals at the B.C. under-11 field lacrosse championships last weekend in Coquitlam.
The team coached by Terry Johnson won gold in Tier 2. John Olson’s squad captured bronze in the same group. Glen Bzowy’s team earned silver in Tier 1.
Winter games
Three short track speed skaters from the Ridge Meadow Racers will be part of the Zone 3 Fraser Valley team at the B.C. Winter Games in Penticton this weekend.
Shivani Bahadur, Tim Song and Tahlon Flamma are part of the team skating in the under-16 category.
The team will be coached by Julian Green, past Olympian for Great Britain and coach for the Ridge Meadow Racers. He is joined by Allison Mackay, coach for the Ridge Meadow Racers.
Janie Green and S. Marshall Shupe of Maple Ridge are also on the u-16 valley team, while Annabelle Green and Jared Bolland will compete in the u-14 category.
