January is a busy time on the hardwood for the SRT Titans.
After travelling to Palm Springs, California to compete in the MaxPreps Holiday Classic, both the senior girls’ and boys’ basketball teams began league play this week.
The Titan women have suffered only one loss on Canadian soil this year, and were to host district rival Pitt Meadows on Thursday night.
Forward Jen Lord is hoping to continue her solid play, after being named Titans Female Athlete of the Month for December.
The Titan boys look to build on their recent solid tournament play at the Robert Bateman tournament, where they had two wins and a loss. They head into the Brenner Classic Tournament in Mission this week, where they will get a look at some of their AAA league rivals.
Big man Brad Rowbotham, also named Athlete of the Month for December will be looking to get off to a solid start in what will probably be a tight league this year.
The Titans junior teams are hosting at tournament this weekend as well.
