Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association is putting together a training camp to raise funds for families touched by Cancer.

The association will be hosting a 360 Elite Training fundraiser called Camped For A Cause on Mar. 25 at the Albion Warehouse. Athletes will be able to select a 30-minute time slot and choose which training to focus on, from hitting, in-fielding, out-fielding, speciality drills, sliding and diving, small ball hitting training.

“Athletes will have a 30 minute time slot to train as hard as they can in honour of a loved one or a community member that has lost their battle to cancer or is currently battling. The purpose is to raise awareness that together we are stronger and to raise funds for families to take time off without financial concerns while their child or significant other battles cancer,” said the association.

Each 30 minute time slot will be by donation with no maximum or minimum amount for donation. A 100 per cent of the proceeds from this event will be donated to local families to spend time with their loved ones during their battle against Cancer.
