Well-travelled comic in Maple Ridge on Family Day

Ventastic – Reimagining the Art of Ventriloquism a family show coming to The ACT

The ACT Arts Centre in Maple Ridge invites families to spend Family Day with them, at an all-ages comedy show.

On Feb. 19, Ventastic brings ventriloquist Michael Harrison with his original puppets to the stage – from a giant anaconda that’s wrapped around his body, to a talking tennis ball.

Harrison has entertained audiences of all ages in the Walt Disney Theatre aboard Disney Cruise Line, with more than 3,500 performances for over 20 years. He brings his “somewhat saucy” puppets, and a show that he bills “vaudeville ventriloquism for a new generation.”

Hailing from Victoria, his international appearances include America’s Got Talent (USA), Canadian National Exhibition (Toronto), MGM Grand Hotel (Macau, China), Sandals Resort (Caribbean), Atlantis Resort (Bahamas), Rainbow Room (Rockefeller Center, New York City), Hong Kong Comedy Festival, and more.

The 80-minute show starts at 3 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre. Tickets are available in a family pack of 4 for $79 plus fees.
