On March 13, the Meadowridge boys team went up against Davie Jones in the final of the School District 42 championship.

The tightly contested match ended in a 40-34 victory for Meadowridge, earning them the district title.

“The team capped off an impressive 9-0 season and earned the school’s first-ever district 6/7 title,” said Meadowridge.

The girls team also saw their own success the very next day when they went toe-to-toe with Pitt Meadows Secondary.

There was a lot of back-and-forth momentum throughout the game, with Meadowridge trailing the Pitt Meadows team going into the final quarter.

However, the girls managed to regroup and hustled their way to a nail-biting 26-24 victory to give Meadowridge its second division title this season.
