Dear Editor,
I realize part of my poem is some what graphic, but then so is war…. I also sent a copy of my poem to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, as I wanted to bolster his spirit and give him hope. I am also going to send my poem to Prime Minister Trudeau, and his defense minister, and foreign affairs minister. Canada and its people stand with Ukraine and its people.
Ukraine’s Resolve
Putin’s War on Ukraine
Is absolutely insane
Russia gather up your military
And get out of Ukraine territory
If not NATO will invoke article five
And Russian troops will not get out alive
Their flattened troops will be spread on the ground
And will be unrecognizable to be found
Ukraine’s military and its democratic allies will prevail
While Putin’s military and its communist allies will fail
Yip, yip, hooray for the West
Which is better than all the rest
