Pride Month kicked off on June 1 with the City of Maple Ridge repainting the pride crosswalk on 224th Street.

The crosswalk was made fabulous just in time for the Pride in the Park event, which is happening in Memorial Peace Park on Saturday. The LGTBQ+ event is put on by PLEA Community Services Society of BC, and will feature entertainment including a drag show, games, a barbecue, food trucks and more. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
