I agree and add my sincere thanks to those who help those who can’t shovel.
I am a senior with mobility issues… I am unable to shovel… but I do. When I go out… I hope that I will not die.
If my city fines me, it could take food off my table or lessen my ability to pay a bill.
My taxes are very high here in Maple Ridge, and my city should help…they should organize a help line… and not fine people.
On Sunday after bundling up in layers and boots and gloves, and worrying, I went out to shove,and I started crying when I reached my sidewalk and found it shovelled.
I saw a neighbour I don’t even know disappearing around the corner on his lawn tractor fitted with a snow blade. He had done it for me.
A sincere heartfelt thank you to those who help.
